Miles: 24.1 Steps: 47,872 Elevation Gain: 5,414 feet Another crazy day! Rain last night. Beautiful day today! First up was a sign announcing Trail Magic for AT hikers! Awesome! Saucy Feet and Beero are a couple thru hiking the trail and their parents came down from Canada to visit and offer some tasty treats to hikers! Thank you so much! Next up was a “wayside” which are little stores along Skyline Drive, a road which traverses the high Shenandoah mountain ridge through the entire park. There was a nice place to hang out and charge electronics and enjoy a tasty beverage while we dried out our tents. We also listened to music and generally had a great time! Beaver, Taylor, Murph, and myself all had a blast! The rest of the day Beaver, Murph, and myself hiked together in a line. We all saw a rattlesnake in the middle of the trail who seemed quite irritated with us. Eventually we made our destination and while there were several people camped there we were the only thru hikers. It was cool to chat with the others, as always!
